ACCESS Paratransit Service
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE APPLICATION/REAPPLICATION PROCESS FOR ACCESS
Valley Regional Transit no longer processes applications/reapplications for the ACCESS program. The application process for ACCESS service is now managed by ADARide. There are two options for applying for ACCESS service:

ACCESS is a transportation service operated by ValleyRide through the tax support of local municipalities. The service is designed to complement ValleyRide's regular bus system. The service is available to people who are unable to utilize the bus system because of a disability. Eligibility may be limited on a conditional basis, and each trip can be reviewed.
ACCESS is an origin to destination transit service for the cities of Boise, Garden City, Nampa and Caldwell. The Boise/Garden City service operates Monday through Saturday with the same hours as the fixed-line bus system. There also is origin to destination paratransit service available in Nampa and Caldwell that operates Monday through Friday with the same hours as the fixed-line bus system. The Boise ACCESS fleet consists of 15 vehicles, each with a seating capacity of eight passengers. The Nampa ACCESS fleet consists of two vehicles, each with a capacity of 12 passengers. All ACCESS vehicles can accommodate wheelchairs.ACCESS service travels three-fourths of a mile from fixed-line services. Pickup and dropoff locations for ACCESS service will be within three-fourths of a mile of fixed-line service.
Service is by reservation only. Trips may be booked up to 14 days in advance, but no later than 5:00 p.m., for service the next operating day.
All ACCESS passengers must keep their certification current and re-apply when their certification expires.Once approved, ACCESS fares are $2 per one-way trip for each passenger and for each guest. A personal care attendant may ride for free.

ATTENTION CURRENT ACCESS CLIENTS: Please note that you can no longer use the pre-addressed postage-paid envelopes provided by Valley Regional Transit (VRT) to order ride tickets. These envelopes will not be delivered by the U.S. Postal Service. If you have any of these postage-paid envelopes, please throw them away. If you do not have a pre-addressed envelope that requires affixing the proper postage, please send your ticket request to:

If you are ACCESS-eligible passenger, you can also order passes by filling out the on-line ACCESS PASS ORDER FORM, print the form, and mail it along with your payment to: Valley Regional Transit - ACCESS, 700 NE 2nd St., Ste. 100, Meridian, ID 83642.

Valley Regional Transit is committed to serving the needs of individuals with disabilities in accordance with the American with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1073. VRT Reasonable Modification processes are designed to guide VRT staff and contract operators to make reasonable modifications/accommodations to policies, practices, and procedures pertaining to fixed-route, demand response, and paratransit services necessary to avoid discrimination. The authority will grant requests reasonable accommodations except where making accommodations would: 1). Fundamentally alter the nature of the service, program, or activity; 2). Create a direct threat to the health and safety of others; or 3). Where the individual with a disability is able to fully use the services, programs, or activities for their intended purpose without the modification.
